Today marked 100 days until the start of the 2010 Soccer World Cup and South Africa celebrated the occasion with the 'Fly the Flag' campaign in order to create excitement about the imminent showpiece.

Despite there still being doubters, FIFA have given South Africa their vote of confidence with the President, Sepp Blatter, today insisting that South Africa is ready to host the tournament. 

FIFA Secretary General, Jerome Valcke, also insisted that South Africa was almost ready to host the tournament and would definitely be ready by 11 June 2010.
