The Cederberg is home to some of South Africa's more famous and more in-demand indigenous products. The region is a producer of large amounts of the now world famous rooibos tea, as well as other indigenous offerings such as the medicinal buchu plant and various types of fynbos.

International interest in these products is growing, as foreign markets' demand for natural products increases. This export opportunity supplements the domestic demand, which remains high, offering investors the chance to partner with small and medium-sized enterprises in the region to produce, process and package the products for export overseas.
