Investors, developers and interested industrial manufacturers are welcome to contact the Lesedi Local Municipality regarding more information on the planned industrial township in the northern part of the municipality, bordering on Ekurhuleni.
The 34 235 hectare site is situated roughly 18km northwest of Heidelberg between the N3 freeway and the Old Heidelberg Road. It is envisaged that the development will play a part in a proposed commercial corridor because of its visibility and accessibility from the freeway.
The municipality already has received an offer from a national retailer to erect a storage facility on the site. It is hoped that offers such as these will have a positive impact on the economically depressed communities by boosting job creation and self-sustainability.
