Sumba Foundry Engineering cc, a company in Rustenberg in South Africa’s North West province, that produces thee-legged aluminium cooking pots would like to expand production line from domestic pots to include industrial lines, such as heavy mining equipment and machinery parts. Other items could be produced on request.

Total estimated investment is R17 538 768.28

It is envisaged that both the private and public sectors will be involved, and that it would be a community project in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and other stakeholders.

The form of collaboration sought is a financial investment, a joint venture, loan, market access and buy-back arrangements.

Sumba Foundry Engineering cc was established and formally incorporated as a closed corporation in 1997 to provide affordable, high quality cooking pots made out of aluminum. Currently the business has diversified its business to include the manufacturing of parts for mining machinery. As a light engineering company, the company is keeping abreast in identifying both new markets for standard products, and also new products for both current and potential new markets.
