The proposed industrial park comprises 43 industrial erven ranging in size from 0.21ha to 0.46ha, and caters for the full spectrum of industrial uses. The site is well-placed regionally, and is easily accessible from all directions and modes of transport, including the railway line, the R42 and the N3. The land was previously used as agricultural showgrounds, but due to the strong demand for industrial erven in the municipality, the existing industrial area is to be extended onto this land.

The proposed industrial township would create jobs in close proximity to where potential employees live. By doing this, travelling distances will be reduced, which will have a positive impact on the local economy and also on the environment.
