Project description: Construct a regional airport by upgrading existing municipal aerodrome. The airport is required to service St Lucia wetlands, nearby game parks and coastal areas. The airport will be operated by the Airports Company of South Africa.
Location: Mkuze, 250km northeast of Durban KwaZulu-Natal

Budget: R70-million
Employment opportunities: 30 opportunities should be created by implementing this project.
Investor role: The project requires investors to partner with the municipality for its construction as well as management.
