Volkswagen to invest R3.3-billion in SA
Wed, 07 Oct 2009 16:10

The 2009 Automotive Industry Conference, in Port Elizabeth, was the scene for Volkswagen’s announcement of its plan to invest R3.3-billion in South Africa by the middle of 2010.

The investment will be made into new technology and new plants and is a sign that the motor industry believes in the continued future potential of South Africa. The news comes hot on the heels of the news earlier in the week of BMW’s R2.2-billion investment, which will also be made in automotive manufacturing.
