

Cape Town stadium completed
Tue, 15 Dec 2009 13:47Cape Town mayor Dan Plato yesterday received the key to the newly completed Cape Town stadium, one of the stadiums built in preparation for the soccer world cup in 2010.
The stadium will no doubt become an unmistakable addition to the Cape Town skyline and Plato told the assembled crowd that it would become a world sporting landmark.
The stadium would seat 68 000 people.
After the world cup it would be managed by French company Stade de France and used for rugby and soccer matches, concerts and religious gatherings.
