


Anne-Marie Idrac, the French Minister of Trade, will be in South Africa this week to enhance the economic relationship between South Africa and France.
Idrac’s visit will take in the launching ceremony of the Sanofi-Aventis pharmaceutical plant, a trip to the Nissan-Renualt car plant in Rosslyn , a visit to a housing programme financed by Agence Française de Développement in Pretoria-Olivenhoutbosch and lastly a visit to the Koeberg Nuclear Power Plant.
Idrac is also set to meet with Derek Hanekom, South Africa’s Science and Techonology Minister, to sign a cooperation agreement between the French innovation agency Osea and South Africa's Technology Innovation Agency. Lastly, South African Public Enterprises Minister, Barbara Hogan, will meet with Idrac to discuss the enhancement of economic relations between the two countries.
