


Dimension Data, the prominent South African Information Technology (IT) services provider announced on Monday that over the past three years it has invested R1-billion in technology infrastructure in South Africa.
The spend on infrastructure included R984-million on a hosting and network infrastructure, R200-million towards the Seacom cable, a R20-million datacenter, a voice network, and the roll out of African points of presence to ensure that the company has a robust and comprehensive Pan-African network.
Dimension Data Middle East & Africa Managing Director, Jason Goodall, said that the company was very confident in the future of the IT services in South Africa and Africa more broadly. He said that this confidence was what drove the company to stay ahead of the pack in terms of technology evolution and thereby keep its clients internationally competitive.
